Some of our recent events - with recordings to watch back

Our Movement Building team has been busy hosting a huge number of webinars, workshops and seminars! These events have explored a wide range of issues and themes - asking questions such as “how far should we go to address climate breakdown?”, “how can we navigate eco-anxiety?” and “how can we ground our work in gender justice?” - to name just three!

Our most recent Learning Hub series delved into complex issues using various creative lenses such as film, poetry and writing. Using different media allowed us to explore and learn about climate and social justice issues affecting people both locally and globally from different perspectives.

We heard from some incredible guest speakers, authors and activists who inspired us with new ways of thinking and approaching topics like movement building, energy poverty, eco-anxiety and the diversity of tactics that can be used for creating change. Each seminar style Learning Hub webinar was paired with a more interactive workshop which allowed participants to share their own thoughts, ideas and experience.

You can watch back recordings from our last two Learning Hub series here. We’ve also published a blog about our latest Learning Hub here - it includes recordings as well as some additional resources on the topics explored, such as “read and watch” lists on each topic.

Our System Change seminar series kicked off in March to mark International Women’s Day with two sessions exploring both national and international perspectives on gender, climate justice and energy. We then hosted a further week of System Change mini-seminars launching on Earth Day!

These bite sized seminars featured some fantastic speakers from Ireland and around the world. We explored some stimulating and intersecting issues such as climate justice, racial and gender equality, sustainable accommodation, food systems, economic justice and lots more. Visit our website here to watch recordings of the seminars and find links to some additional resources that our speakers recommended.
