It offers tools that help us face the these crises, as well as find and play our role in the collective transition to a life-sustaining society. At the heart of this book is the idea that Active Hope is something we do rather than have.“Books about social and ecological change too often leave out a vital component: how do we change ourselves so that we are strong enough to fully contribute to this great shift? Active Hope fills this gap beautifully, guiding readers on a journey of gratitude, grief, interconnection and, ultimately, transformation.” - Naomi KleinIf you'd like to put forward a question to ask Chris, or raise something for discussion, please share your thoughts in the form at this link.Public Conversation on Active Hope - July 24th from 7pm to 9:30pm at Lúnasa Cafe, BelfastTogether with Friends of the Earth Northern Ireland, we are hosting our next physical book club event in Belfast!Anne Symens-Bucher will be joining us as our special guest to talk about the book 'Active Hope' and the wider subject of resilience and sustaining activism.Anne currently serves as Joanna Macy’s executive assistant and has traveled extensively with Joanna facilitating workshops on 'Work That Reconnects'.
