October 14, 2021 View all news Are you aged under 30? Or do you know a young person of that age who is interested in climate action and social justice?Young people have been coming together through our System Reset project to explore the root causes of climate change and inequality. They’ve come up with solutions to these big issues to be raised with political leaders. We’re excited to announce that these solutions will be showcased during our System Reset National Youth Assembly on 19th October. This assembly is open to people under 30 and will take place from 6pm to 8pm. Registration closes at 2pm on 18th October.Click here to register for the Youth Assembly The Youth Assembly will celebrate the launch of a youth position paper. This paper has been developed by young people, for young people - it has an exciting vision for a just, more equitable and sustainable world. But the words in this document won’t be staying on paper or filed away in a cabinet to gather dust!Instead, young people will be sharing their visions and demands with political decision makers that will be present during the assembly. It’s time to make sure that youth voices are heard! So will you join us? Or could you send this blog to the young people in your life? This youth assembly is part of the pan European SYSTEM:RESET project, which aims to build strong, collective youth visions for a socially just and ecologically sound future. We live at a time of multi-layered environmental and social injustices. The ecological crisis disproportionately affects communities that have been systematically marginalised. These same communities tend to be excluded from political decision-making and cut out of discussions about the future of society. The System:Reset project aims to tackle this! It builds platforms across Europe to bring young people from under-represented communities together. And supports them to build strong, collective visions for change that can be raised with political decision makers. Like the sound of this? Then join us on 19th October!Click here to register for the System Reset National Youth Assembly Image Credits: We are grateful to Iris Aghedo - graphic designer - for the illustrations used in this blog.
