June 27, 2016 View all news In 2015 Friends of the Earth brought a team of volunteers to Electric Picnic to help improve the festival's environmental impact. We’re returning to Electric Picnic this year and we want you to help us make it green again!Friends of the Earth is partnering with the festival to improve recycling and minimise the waste going to landfill. In exchange for supporting Picnickers to bin their waste responsibly we’ll provide you with a weekend pass for this sold-out festival!Can you help us?We are looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to chat to festival goers about binning their waste responsibly and about Friends of the Earth’s work. Apply here!Here's what’s involved:You will work as part of a team of Green Messengers to encourage festival goers to separate their waste properlyYou will work in pairs throughout the main arena and the campsitesYou will volunteer for a total of 24 hours over the weekendYour weekend pass will entitle you to full access to the festival which you are free to enjoy outside of your shiftsYour pass includes camping in the Eco-campsiteTransport to and from the festival will be provided (departing from Dublin city centre on Thursday afternoon 1st September)Requirements:You must be over 18 to applyYou must be entitled to work IrelandYou must be willing to provide a deposit that will be refunded in full upon completion of your dutiesYou have to be available to be on site from Thurs 1st – Sun 4th SeptemberYou must be willing to attend an information session in July and a training session in AugustTo apply, please fill in this form by midnight Thursday 30th June.
