Join our Cuppa for Climate online taster and support us in community fundraising!

Earth Day is a great moment to pause and reflect on all that we love and value about the earth and to celebrate and appreciate our movement and community. It’s also a great opportunity to come together to ignite and inspire positive action! This year we’d love to see lots of our supporters bringing their community together for a cuppa and chat to celebrate and inspire action. What better way to do this than to host a Cuppa for Climate - a coffee morning with a difference for Earth Day. Bring your family, friends, neighbours or colleagues together to support and raise funds for our beloved earth. Of course, every day is Earth Day, so you can organise to do this any day that suits you around the 22nd of April.

To help you get started, we’re inviting you to join our online Cuppa for Climate taster session on Wednesday, 19th of March at 6.30pm. In this taster, you will experience what your coffee morning could look like and hopefully feel inspired to host your own! 

Coming together isn’t just comforting—it’s an act of resistance. It’s how we fight back against the forces destroying our planet. It’s how we remind each other that we are not alone, that we have power, and that change is possible. With everything happening in the world right now, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and to retreat in isolation, but now is exactly when we need to come together.

We know that change happens when people come together - holding a coffee morning is a way to do just that. Bringing people together in a simple yet powerful way to have conversations, explore actions, and raise much-needed funds to keep up the fight for climate justice helps to grow and sustain the climate movement. 

We need your help to create space to pause, reflect, and find strength in fellowship and community, to channel the pain we are feeling into positive collective action. It’s our hope that after experiencing the online taster you will sign up to host your own Cuppa for Climate, a coffee morning with a difference in your community. 

And don’t worry, we’ll support you every step of the way:

• We’ll send you a toolkit – with tips, a fundraising guide and collection buckets if you’d like to fundraise, climate conversation prompts and a poster.

• We offer one-on-one support – including calls and, where capacity allows, a staff member will join your Cuppa.

• We’ll help you set up your donation page – because every contribution makes a difference.

Why are we asking for your support in community fundraising?

Fossil fuel giants and corporate polluters are spending millions to delay climate action—but we have something stronger: people power. By coming together and raising funds, we can continue to push back, campaign for real change, and grow the environmental movement that we desperately need right now. By organising a community fundraiser, you and your community can directly fund our campaigns, advocacy work, and help us grow the grassroots movement to challenge the systems driving the climate crisis. Fundraising is a crucial form of climate action. Every action counts.
