February 10, 2015 View all news I'm chairing what should be a great panel discussion on the Climate Bill and climate justice this evening, Tuesday 10th, at 6.30pm in Buswells Hotel in Molesworth Street, across from Leinster House.Speakers include:=> Lidy Nacpil - Convenor of the Philippines Movement for Climate Justice.=> Niamh Garvey - Trocaire's Environmental Justice Policy Officer=> Prof. Barry McMullin - Chair of the An Taisce Climate Change CommitteeNevermind us Irish NGO-types, it's really worth coming to hear Lidy. She is a hugely experienced international campaigner on economic justice issues and was International Coordinator of Jubilee South for 9 years. She continues to work on tax and debt justice as well as climate. You can see videos of Lidy in action here. The meeting is the finale to our Big Lobby Day on the Climate Bill in Buswells Hotel. So if you can come at 6pm or a little earlier do ring the Leinster House office of one or two of your TDs (01-6183000) and ask them to pop over to Buswells to hear your concerns about the Climate Bill. We'll be there to accompany you to any meeting.Hoping to see you some of you this evening.P.S. And no matter whether you can come to Buswells at all, do send your local TDs an email urging them to Fix The Bill. Categorised in: Climate Change
