Green Drinks at 6pm, Tuesday 4th November, upstairs in the South William Bar, Dublin 2.

Green Drinks goes red, white and blue this month as the world gears up for the results of the US election.

Join us to mark the day the US elects a president who believes climate change is man-made and requires strong political action.

Ben and Jerry's, the Vermont based ice-cream company which campaigns on climate change, will be providing free ice-cream.

Richard Delevan, journalist and native New Yorker living in Ireland, will give a 15 minute talk at 7pm on the impact of the election on US climate policy.

So drop in and enjoy something cooling to celebrate a landmark day in the fight to stop the Earth over-heating.

Green Drinks is a simple idea that's gone global. Once a month in 390 cities around the world people with an interest in green issues get together to chat, share ideas and raise a glass to a brighter future.

The event is made simple and informal and is a chance to mix with other like-minded people, share info and make friends & contacts.

The idea is that people with an interest in the environment can meet to share ideas and successes. It generally results in a very lively evening with an interesting mix of people. In Dublin the event is co-hosted by Friends of the Earth and Leafliving, an online eco-retailer. Come along and you'll be made welcome. It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there's always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.

It's also great opportunity to meet Friends of the Earth staff and find our more about any of our campaing plans that you may want to get involved in.

Please spread the word and we hope to see you there.
