Fianna Fáil Chair of Environment Committee signs pledge

Seán Haughey TD, the Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Environment, has signed the Friends of the Earth Climate Pledge.

The Committee has responsibility to scrutinize the work of the Deptartment of the Environment which leads the Government's response to Climate Change.

Five of the the 11 TDs on the Committee have signed the Pledge so far. The others are Pádraic McCormack and Fergus O'Dowd of Fine Gael, Eamon Gilmore of Labour and Noel Grealish of the PDs.
