October 23, 2020 View all news Ahead of our webinar on Climate Justice on Wednesday, 28th October (which you can now watch back here) we compiled a read and watch list on climate justice that we’d love you to explore! So as the days draw shorter, why not curl up with a hot drink and pick something to read or watch from this list - it's got a bunch of articles, videos and even a documentary film on the subject of climate justice. A few weeks after Wednesday's webinar, we'll organise a more in-depth workshop to explore the ideas that unpin climate justice in more detail. Exploring our read and watch list would be good preparation for that event too.Click here to view our Climate Justice Read & Watch ListIf your appetite is whetted to read something a bit longer, then you might like to start reading some of the winning books that were chosen for our Learning Hub 2020/21. Our climate justice webinar next Wednesday will be the first event of the Learning Hub and will be loosely based on Mary Robisons book “Climate Justice”. So that would be a great book to start with. The other three books, which will provide the theme for subsequent Learning Hub events, are listed below. You can get a copy of any of the four Learning Hub books by donating to Friends of the Earth here. Violent Borders: Refugees and the Right to Move by Reece JonesOn Fire: The Burning Case for a Green New Deal by Naomi KleinHope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities by Rebecca Solnit If you don’t have the time to read full length books then please don’t worry! The beauty of the Learning Hub’s Read and Watch lists is that you can participate by reading (or watching) for just a few minutes or for many hours! So we hope you’ll find something on the Climate Justice list that suits the time you have. We also welcome suggestions for additional reading or watching material that we haven’t listed ourselves. You can make suggestions here. We hope to see you at Wednesday’s webinar on climate justice - and in the meantime - happy reading and watching!Explore our Climate Justice Read & Watch ListIt is with thanks to Irish Aid that we are able to fund these activities as part of our Global Citizenship Education programme, Making Common Cause – Global Citizenship Education for a Global Justice Transition.
