February 11, 2009 View all news Dublin Friends of the Earth is meeting on Thursday, Febuary 12, upstairs in the Legal Eagle beside the Four Courts at 8 p.m. We know the weather's cold but hot toddies are available from the bar! We have made a lot of progress with our YOU CHANGE TOO campaign, aimed at getting the government to integrate climate change into all their planning. A fabulous logo has been designed for us by John Gibbons. We have almost completed the research into our public investigation into energy standards in public buildings. Several buildings are already on board. We have also started to plan our debate with the Dublin European Parliament candidates on whether Europe will lead on climate change. This will be part of Cultivate's Convergence Festival, which will mean far greater publicity and a guaranteed audience. Sponsorship has already been secured. Cultivate is also interested in partnering with us in a carbon pricing seminar, perhaps in June. PLEASE COME ALONG AND BE PART OF OUR LITTLE PART OF THE BIGGEST ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGNING GROUP IN THE WORLD!! SEE YOU IN THE LEGAL EAGLE ON THURSDAY!Read more about Dublin FoE here.
