If you are a farmer, grower or activist and you would like to be featured get in touch with Triona by emailing info@foe.ie.August - Some of our Growing Together activists have been researching food sovereignty in the Irish context over the past few months. We will be releasing their much anticipated ‘Booklet on Food Sovereignty in Ireland’ in August with an online webinar. The booklet will be available for distribution online and in print.September - Government restrictions and social distancing guidelines permitting we are hoping to host some seed-saving workshops and seed swaps in early September. We will also be welcoming a small number of youth activists to join is on Gleann Bui farm in County Mayo to learn about regenerative agriculture in Ireland and other practical skills.Want to get involved in the Growing Together Agri-activist group?If you're a young activist or farmer (under 31 years old) interested in joining our agri-activist team get in touch! The group has big plans for events online and offline (COVID permitting) over the next few months. If you would like to get involved as an organiser, contributor or even just to meet some like minded people you can find out more and sign up here at this link. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary.Because this is a project funded to support youths engaging in sustainable agriculture, the age requirement is under 30 years.
