Resist. Transform.' This course aims to offer a space to explore the environmental issues of our time, how they intersect, what some of the root causes are, and some tools and strategies for taking action. We will collectively explore the issues over the course of the 6 sessions, with reading materials provided for each week. This course was originally planned to take place in Dublin city centre. The course will now be held online because of the spread of Covid-19 in Ireland - we all have to take responsibility to make sure those most vulnerable in our society don't get sick. The content of the course remains the same - albeit without so many participatory activities! The course will run for six Monday evenings, from March 30th to May 11th (with a break for Easter Monday, April 13th) from 7.30pm to 9pm.Click here to apply now! We're still figuring out the technology, but classes will likely be via Zoom and you will be sent a link to login. You'll need a computer with a microphone and ideally a webcam, or a smartphone at a pinch. To cover the cost of running the course, we will be asking for a contribution of €40 for those in employment, €25 for unwaged people or students, and free for those living in direct provision or other circumstances prohibiting access to financial resources. You can also pay-it-forward at €50 to enable others to attend. This is payable once your registration is confirmed.Once again, you can apply for a place by completing this short form. Please feel free to send the link to anybody you feel might be interested.Applications will close on Monday, March 23rd, and we will notify applicants shortly afterwards if their application has been successful or not.
