Event Four: Improving responses to biodiversity protection and environmental assessment while meeting renewables targets.

This fourth workshop was held in Dublin on 30th November 2023 and continued to examine how Ireland can improve environmental assessment and biodiversity protection while delivering the necessary infrastructure to meet climate and renewables targets. 

The full day workshop was attended by both NGO and industry stakeholders. The session built on Friends of the Earth’s preceding workshops on the same topic in October 2022 and May 2023. 

Issues discussed in the meeting included planning compliance/reform and public/community involvement.
