Earth Day is big deal for us - because it’s our birthday!We’re marking 49 years since Friends of the Earth was set up in Ireland with a special supporter event in Dublin city.Join us from 11am till 1pm on Saturday April 22nd at Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street for a Cuppa for Climate.Tickets are free but places are limited, so please only register for a ticket if you‘re sure you can make it.As part of this event, we will be launching a new Cuppa for Climate community building initiative to support people in hosting climate conversations in their communities and workplaces. This is a chance for you to experience what a Cuppa for Climate is all about and hear from some inspiring activists in our community.For this event we’ll be joined by guest speakers: Molly O’Shea - member of Young Friends of the Earth and the Friends of the Earth board, Sarah O’Suilleabhain - member of One Future and Friends of the Earth board and Carol-Anne O’Brien - formerly with BeLongTo and co-founder of BOLD Climate Action, an older people’s group which facilitates participation in climate action among older people.We’ll be asking our guest speakers to share a little about their own story into action and what they feel are important elements to having a climate conversation.
