Join Friends of the Earth for a half-day stakeholder forum exploring how Ireland can implement the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) in a way that meets our climate obligations while centering fairness and the right to a warm, affordable home.

We’ll bring together civil society organisations, local authorities, energy and housing experts, and community groups to explore how the retrofit transition can deliver real benefits for lower-income and marginalised households, and ensure no one is left behind.

Speakers include Ciarán Cuffe (EPBD Rapporteur), Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, Irish Green Building Council, Maynooth University JustHousing Project, and on-the-ground retrofitting professionals. we’ll be highlighting key barriers, solutions, and success stories from Ireland and beyond.
